From Policy to Practice
The Essential Layers of a Village
Each VURBS village must include:
Soil & Food — Greenhouses, farms, gardens, food forests.
Natural Assets — Parks, trails, water stewardship systems.
Economic Layer — Retail, trading posts, maker spaces, co-working hubs.
Social Infrastructure — Meeting halls, community centers, gathering spaces.
Essentials — Daycare, healthcare, education services.
Public-Private Partnership Model
How the (P3) Model Works:
Land Contribution: Farmers or landowners contribute underused land to a non-profit trust.
Government Role: Provide capital funding, planning tools, and blueprints; oversee RFQ/RFP developer process.
Private Sector Role: Build and maintain infrastructure; operate community assets under a membership model reinvesting profits locally.
National Renewal, One Village at a Time
With government support and community leadership, we can:
Strengthen families
Revitalize economies
Restore dignity and purpose
Reconnect Canadians to land and to one another
